KCL Law is delighted to announce the appointment of Jennifer Maher to Principal Lawyer, effective 1 August 2018.
An Accredited Wills and Estate Specialist and key member of KCL Law’s Estate Group, Jennifer practises principally in estate litigation, estate administration, estate planning, trusts and asset protection, advising private clients, businesses, high-net-worth individuals, trustee companies, private and public corporations, private family and business trusts.
Jennifer extensive experience in private client services incorporates estate planning, estate administration, estate litigation, trust law and trust disputes, attorneyship and disputes, guardianship and aged care.
Jennifer’s practice includes assisting families with their aging loved ones, including assisting and advising attorneys
and guardians as to their duties, assisting with the transition to aged care and appearing at VCAT in contested administration and guardianship disputes.
With over 14 years’ experience in estate law, Jennifer has handled a large number of family provision claims and
has been involved in numerous estate and trust litigation cases, including charitable trusts, removal applications and beneficiary disputes. Jennifer has also been appointed as a litigation guardian, an independent trustee of family trusts (in dispute) and as an administrator pursuant to a VCAT appointment.
Prior to joining the firm in July 2014 as Special Counsel, Jennifer had worked for a number of national law firms.
In the Doyles’ Wills & Estates Litigation Guide 2015, 2016 and 2017, Jennifer was recognised as ‘leading’ lawyer in the Leading Wills and Estates Litigation Lawyer —Victoria. She was also listed in the Doyles’ Wills & Estates Guide 2017 as ‘recommended’ for the Leading Wills, Estates and Succession Planning Lawyers — Victoria.
