Media release: KCL Law advises Emerald Grain on $180 million Borrowing Base Facility Agreement

Dec 3, 2020

KCL Law recently advised Emerald Grain Pty Ltd, a new shareholding consortium led by Roc Partners, in connection with Emerald Grain’s entry into a $180 million Borrowing Base Facility Agreement with Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Westpac Banking Corporation.

The transaction involved a number of complexities and coincided with a change of ownership for the Emerald Grain Group, with the shareholding consortium led by Roc Partners acquiring control of Emerald Grain.

KCL Law was delighted to advise Emerald Grain and Roc Partners in connection with such an important transaction for the Group, and we look forward to seeing the Group’s continued success under the new ownership structure.

Kain Lawyers advised Roc Partners in connection with the share sale transaction, and the Lenders were advised by Ashurst.

Emerald Grain is a globally competitive grain trading, marketing, storage and handling company with a footprint in each of Australia’s key grain growing regions.

Roc Partners is a leading alternative investment management firm, based in Sydney.
