Media release: KCL Law proudly supports Eat Up Australia as ‘State Partner’

Mar 9, 2022

KCL Law is delighted to announce its continued support of Eat Up Australia as ‘State Partner’ for 2022.

A not-for-profit organisation, Eat Up Australia provides lunches to disadvantaged primary and high school children who would otherwise go without. The organisation relies heavily on sponsorship support, financial donations and the generosity of volunteers to make thousands of lunches that Eat Up Australia deliver to schools across Australia.

Since 2013, Eat Up Australia have delivered over 1.3 million lunches to students throughout Australia. Their programs help more than six hundred schools and thousands of hungry students across Victoria, News South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia and Northern Territory.

In 2021, Eat Up Australia adapted its model to deliver lunches, pantry packs and holiday packs to support children and their families whether they were physically at school or not. Across Australia in metro and regional areas they delivered:

  • over 450,000 lunches;
  • over 5,800 pantry packs
  • over 1,800 holiday packs; and
  • more than 45,000 pieces fruit.

KCL Law has proudly supported Eat Up Australia since 2016 when we first volunteered, holding the first corporate sandwich making session. KCL Law formalised its support of Eat Up Australia as a ‘State Partner’ in 2020.
