Graduate Lawyer (Estate Group)

As our Estate Group continues to grow, there is an exciting opportunity for a graduate lawyer to join the team.

KCL Law’s Estate Group offers its clients complete legal services across estate planning, probate, estate administration, estate litigation and trust advice and litigation. Our expertise in estate matters is extensive and our team draws on knowledge of estate law, trusts, taxation law, property law and family law to develop strategies to ensure that our client’s objectives are met.

We are seeking a graduate lawyer who has recently been admitted to practice. In this role, you will work under the guidance of a number of senior lawyers and be mentored on a range of matters relating to estate planning including wills with testamentary trusts, enduring powers of attorney, trusts, superannuation and estate litigation on capacity matters.

The successful candidate must be admitted to practice and have a strong academic transcript.

Essential personal attributes for the role include excellent communication skills (written and oral), strong interpersonal and organisational skills, the ability to work in a team environment and communicate with clients professionally and confidently. A well-presented individual with a good attitude is a must.

Business Development and Marketing Manager

A great opportunity exists for an experienced Business Development and Marketing Manager to join KCL Law. In this role, you will work closely with the lawyers to develop and maintain strong client relationships and build on existing networks, identify opportunities and implement business development and marketing initiatives.

The responsibilities of this role will include:

  • maintaining and updating the firm’s website and social media accounts including LinkedIn;
  • creation of engaging legal content to be published;
  • drafting and finalising individual and team profiles, award submissions, capability statements, tenders and legal articles;
  • working closely with the lawyers to establish and maintain business development plans and marketing material;
  • managing sponsorship opportunities and professional memberships;
  • maintaining and updating the firms mailing list and contacts;
  • internal and external event management including breakfast seminars and client lunches and seminars;
  • drafting and publishing both internal and external communications;
  • identifying and implementing marketing and BD initiatives suitable for the firm; and
  • managing firm branded materials.

To be successful, you will have at least six years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in a professional services firm. Experience in a legal firm is highly regarded.

You will be client-focused, proactive and show initiative in exploring opportunities to develop and grow the firm’s client base, provide strategic recommendations and have the ability to deliver quality outcomes. You will have strong time management and organisational skills ensuring deadlines are met. Clear and effective communication skills (both written and oral), attention-to-detail and the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively are essential for this role.

Probate Clerk

As our Estate Group continues to grow, there is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and ambitious probate clerk to join the team.

KCL Law’s Estate Group offers its clients complete legal services across estate planning, probate and estate administration and estate litigation. Our expertise in estate matters is extensive and our team draws on knowledge of estate law, trusts, taxation law, property law and family law to develop strategies to ensure that our client’s objectives are met.

We are seeking a probate clerk with experience in working in an Estate practice. You will have experience preparing documentation and correspondence in relation to probate, letters of administration, estate administration and liaising with clients. You will also have a knowledge of estate law and a willingness to continuously learn and develop your skills and knowledge.

Essential personal attributes for the role include excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with clients confidently. A proactive person who shows initiative, attention to detail and excellent time management skills. A well-presented individual with a good attitude is a must.
