Matilda is the Head of KCL Law’s estate administration service where she is responsible for the day-to-day management of probate matters including complex, and intricate estate administration matters, and supervising a team of dedicated paralegals.

With over 24 years’ experience in private practice, Matilda spent the last 8 years specialising in probate and deceased estates primarily assisting executor clients with the administration of deceased estates of all sizes, particularly large and sophisticated estates with interstate and international assets and associated group structures as well as assisting where necessary, in resolving family wealth, trust and estate disputes for high net wealth clients and representing multiple charity clients in bequest disputes.

Matilda comes with a breadth of knowledge with respect to multifaceted and unusual applications for grants of representation in the Victorian probate jurisdiction as well as most other Australian states, including foreign will applications.

Prior to joining the firm, Matilda worked for one of Melbourne’s premium CBD commercial law firms where she assisted many of Australia’s wealthiest and most influential individuals and family groups to administer large and complex estates and associated group structures for succeeding generations.  During her tenure there, Matilda found her passion for intergenerational wealth transition and gained an in depth understanding of how trusts and companies can be utilised for the management and control of family and business assets.
